It's been a while since I last checked in, so I thought it was high time to share a little recap of the past year with all of you.
Can you believe we’ve been soaking up the sun in Spain for three whole years now? It still feels just as magical as it did on day one! We’ve had some incredible vacations and adventures along the way, and what we cherish the most is the warm-hearted people and the laid-back lifestyle that Spain offers.
Of course, it hasn’t all been smooth sailing. There are definitely some bumps in the road that can be a bit trickier than what we experienced in the Netherlands. Take applying for a vacation visa for non-Europeans, for example—it's a whole different ball game compared to what we were used to back home. But you know what? We embrace these challenges as part of our exciting journey in this new chapter of life.
Last year, just before we hit our three-year milestone here, we had to head back to the Netherlands to bid farewell to my beloved surrogate grandmother. It was a bittersweet moment, but we felt it was important to be there for our family during their time of need.
Looking forward, we know that the upcoming year will bring its own set of challenges, and I promise to keep you all in the loop about how things unfold.
