We just came back from an amazing trip to Barcelona to find out if it truly deserves all the praise, even though we already love living in Valencia.
To make the most of our time, we decided to drive around the city since many of the attractions we wanted to see were quite far from each other. We didn't want to risk wasting time waiting for buses or walking long distances.
On the first day, we were in awe of the breathtaking Sagrada Familia cathedral. Although we couldn't get into Park Guell due to the sold-out tickets, we made sure to secure a reservation for the next day. We also got hold of 24-hour bus tour tickets, giving us the freedom to hop on and off at our leisure.
Our plan to visit Casa Mila was dampened by the long queue, so we opted for a delicious meal instead.
The following day, we started with a delightful breakfast near Sagrada Familia and then hopped on the cable cars to see the stunning Barcelona Castle. A mouthwatering lunch by the beach was followed by our visit to Park Guell with our reservation, but it didn’t quite meet our expectations, so we didn't stay long. Next, we explored Bubble World, an interactive museum, and had an absolute blast with all its experiments and activities.
We wrapped up our adventure with a heavenly breakfast at Miam, indulging in their famous pancakes. All in all, returning to Valencia felt like coming home, and Barcelona seemed somewhat underwhelming in comparison, especially with the high parking fees and the distance between attractions.
In the end, we highly recommend Valencia if you're torn between the two cities. Our next adventure will take us to Madrid to see if it lives up to its reputation.
Untill the, Hasta Luego mis Amigos!
