We've thrown ourselves into research and quickly learned that to thrive in Spain, securing an NIE (Número de Identificación de Extranjero) is essential. Our first move? We tried to grab an appointment at the Spanish embassy in Amsterdam. However, with every slot fully booked, we hit a bit of a snag.
That’s when we stumbled upon NIE Nummer Aanvragen, an absolutely fantastic online service that became our knight in shining armor! They handled everything—from scheduling appointments to managing tax payments—and even provided on-the-ground support if we needed it. Talk about a lifesaver!
Next up was the search for the perfect cozy nest. While staying in a hotel seemed appealing, we knew it wouldn't be the best fit for the long haul. So, we made the exciting choice to rent an apartment, creating a welcoming haven where we can unwind and flourish as we embark on this new adventure.
