Being a father and bedtime

On July 05, 2021 in Life

It's almost been 16 weeks already and the little guy keeps on growing and growing. Time for a little update after 12 weeks.

Everything so far is great! The little guy sleeps like a charm and is starting to talk a little. Sometimes a small accident here and there but that is part of the deal, but not too much to worry about.

A couple of weeks ago the little guy got his first shots (DKTP, Diftery, Kinkhoest, Tetanus and Polio) he took them like the little champ he is. Almost no tears and and when I wanted to console him it was good already. Of course he got a little hot but that was supposed to happen.

But the biggest change is that I am in charge of the household when mommy is going to work which starts at 17:30 at a good day otherwise it starts at 17:00. But just before going to bed the single issue of the night starts, he is missing mommy. But daddy is a good alternative but not the best...

After his feeding he becomes a little drowsy and then starts to cry as he wants to sleep but is tired as well en needs a firm hug (from mommy). After hugging a little he falls asleep like a leaf and wakes up about 6-8 hours later, yes he has always been a good sleeper from his third week on.

After his rest his daddy is well rested but mommy still isn't as she got home about 00:30 in the early morning and needs a little more sleep.

After this the entire household is happy again an ready for another day.
